True Stories of the horrors of not having insurance are what I want to talk about.....no exaggerations please!  Actually after hearing one my stories...you'll probably think I am exaggerating and making up  aspects of the story to make it more sensational.....But....NO I'm not!

My brother was in a MVA head-on collision in June 2011....not his fault so the other driver is responsible.

The other driver does have good insurance, and at some point his medical bills will be paid.  BUT not according to all his medical providers presently.....He is UNINSURED!  Therefore he has been treated like a 4th class citizen....he has no say in his care....he is a part of the local University healthcare system that takes care of trauma's in our area....and therefore he has to wait and be cared for when they have the time....they are very busy you see!  Meanwhile he is losing the use of his leg that was terribly hurt...crushed pelvic was repaired....still needs hip replacement, and has no use of his foot because the nerve is crushed and severed and won't be any better until the hip is replaced...,and that's not for sure..

But they are very busy and he just has to wait....now been 6 months plus and he is an invalid at his home...sent home to heal they said...no hospital bed, no wheelchair, no therapy....All because he has no insurance!  Can you tell me how he is suppose to heal and walk again?  And the irony to all this is that he does have a settlement pending if he can just find out what his prognosis is going to be....if they would just do his surgery!  It's crazy!  And he has an Attorney now....and he can't get the hospital to schedule his surgery!  

As you can see this is going to be an ongoing horror story....I would like to hear yours!  Surely something good could come out of this raving and ranting......let's hope!
